‘The Model Room’ is the first film in a planned series aimed at examining significant collaborations between practitioners from different fields on particular projects. ‘The Model Room’ will explore the work of the same name by the Danish/Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson and the architect and geometrist Einar Thorsteinn. Through a series of interviews and a visual exploration of the pieces constituting the work, the film will create a framework for understanding a relationship that has a strong influence on Eliasson’s growing practice.
