Gary Clough is the Director of Studies for FE at University for the Creative Arts at Rochester. Within his sculptural practise Gary Clough’s research explores whether an idea for a work, which has been realised as a drawing or model, actually needs to be made? Within this context importance is placed on the possibility of a physical state and its potential as a real item. At the route of such a practise is the incorporation and signifying power of vehicles such as drawings, models and prototypes.
